Going beyond the simple observation of global climate change, the film follows four protagonists from Venice, Belgium, Miami and the Marshall Islands, who are all confronted with the problem of rising sea levels. These men and women are looking for concrete solutions to avoid abandoning their lives, their homes and their countries. To avoid becoming “climate migrants”, their challenge is played out on several levels: economic, human, cultural and technological. To survive, they have to reinvent themselves and find a new way of living with this ocean, which is rising irresistibly.
