François Bernard, knows as "Ben", has explored the most remote places of the world for more than 30 years: the North Pole and the South Pole, Mount Everest, etc... One day, he decides he would like to share all the gorgeous landscapes that he has seen during his expeditions. He therefore invests all his life savings in a polar sailboat, and the Atka project is born. One after the other, personalities from all horizons board the boat, from base jumpers to circus artists, teenagers to sick women and children, and for the next 17 months, the boat embarks on a marvelous human adventure along the west coast of Greenland.
