Synopsis

While on location in Montréal, a French actress (Monica Bellucci) tries to mend her relationship with her son, who has been studying there for several years. He has witnessed a disturbing event that reawakened in him the desire to discover who is father is. On his birthday he is determined to confront his mother to learn the answer. What he does not know is that the film she is shooting was conceived specifically to answer his questions. Elsewhere in the city, an ambulance technician haunted by his past tries to keep a hold on his life while a kind-hearted nurse watches over him, from a distance, in the chaos of her ER. The collision of these four individuals at the Ville-Marie Hospital leaves their lives changed forever.

En tournage à Montréal, une actrice européenne (Monica Bellucci) tente de se raccommoder avec son fils (Aliocha Schneider), étudiant dans la métropole québécoise. Mais un événement troublant dont il est témoin déclenche à nouveau chez lui le désir de découvrir qui est son père. Le jour de son anniversaire, celui-ci entend trouver réponses à ses questions en affrontant sa mère. Ce que ce dernier ignore, c'est que le film que sa mère tourne a été spécialement conçu pour répondre à ses questions. Parallèlement, un ambulancier hanté par son passé (Patrick Hivon) tente de garder le cap alors qu'une infirmière charitable (Pascale Bussières) veille sur lui, à distance, tout en maintenant une salle d'urgence à flots. C'est à l'hôpital Ville-Marie que ces quatre vies entreront en collision pour en ressortir irrémédiablement changées.
