In a small town, two childhood friends' actions during a night of partying result in a neighbour's death. They decide to say nothing as there is no evidence to tie them to the crime. Each will have to battle with his own conscience in dealing with the truth

Gabriel (Pierre-Luc Lafontaine) vit avec sa mère policière (Geneviève Rioux). D'un naturel joyeux et optimiste, il traverse la vie avec facilité. Pas autant que son meilleur ami Yves (Émile Mailhiot) à qui tout réussit. Rusé et fêtard, ses aptitudes au football lui donnent une sorte d'immunité aux punitions. Un soir de fête, à Saint-Hyacinthe, les deux amis blessent un inconnu et s'enfuient en se jurant de garder le secret. Le lendemain, l'homme est mort. Cet événement dramatique changera à jamais le cours de leur vie et de leur amitié
